Background

GTRI's SERV@GTRI Employee Resource Group (ERG) will host a special event for K-12 students in honor of the "Month of the Military Child." It is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, and will be held at GTRI Headquarters in Atlanta.

This event will be open to all children. SERV members and others will give presentations that are geared toward science standards for K-12 students.

This event is open to GTRI employees and our surrounding community. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbors to join you as you explore a series of interactive demonstrations that appeal to a variety of age groups.

What to expect?

During SERV@GTRI’s Outreach day, guests will explore a series of interactive demonstrations that appeal to a variety of age groups. Stations will include:

  • A liquid nitrogen experiment.
  • A Van de Graaff generator.
  • Earth/Moon model making.
  • Spectrum tubes (with take-home rainbow glasses).
  • And much more!

Join us for lunch and a self-paced exploration of the stations.

In order to make the event as safe as possible for our guests, parents/caregivers will be required to be present.
